This is a great breakfast recipe that has an entire’s day worth of your fruit serving! It’s so easy. Buying frozen fruit is a great alternative to buying fruit out of season. Frozen fruit is typically frozen at the peak of it’s freshness so retain it’s nutritional value. In some cases, it’s better to buy frozen than out of season because out of season fruit has traveled so far, it has not been picked when ripe but rather much earlier so that it can make the long trip to your grocery store and arrive ripe. For this reason, I like Fred Meyer’s frozen fruit blends. They come in resealable bags and in different varieties…and can make several days worth of smoothies. Easy Breakfast – Tropical Fruit Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of Tropical Smoothie Blend (only ingredients are frozen strawberries, mangoes and pineapple)
  • 1/3 cup of Mighty Mango Naked Juice
  • 1/2 So Delicious Coconut milk, original flavor
  • 1/3 cup No Sugar Added Apple Sauce
  • 1/2 cup of cold water

Combine all ingredients into a blender and blend on “high” until smooth. I like mine to be really creamy, so I blend it almost 5 minutes straight. Makes two smoothies.
